My name is Kim Hardy and I am Salt. I have a BS in Computer Science; a MS in Information Science – Systems Design; and over 20 years of experience as a Programmer, Software Architect, Project Manager and Systems Analyst. I am also a Certified ScrumMaster.

Colossians 4:6 (NKJV) Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

I haven’t always been salt. Or maybe I should say, I haven’t always known that I was Salt. I could see the effect I had on teams and organizations, but I didn’t know how to qualify it. One employer even asked me what my secret was, and I couldn’t tell them. I just looked at them with a stupid look on my face. But after taking Gallop’s StrengthsFinder in 2004, I was able to qualify in discreet terms what makes me different, what makes me special. Shortly thereafter I started Salt Consulting and Salt Productions because my strengths themes are perfectly suited for entrepreneurism. After taking Marcus Buckingham’s StandOut in 2011, I focused what makes me different, what makes me special into service offerings that can be delivered over and over with near perfection and into products that help others achieve the same … Because I don’t believe that I am any more special than anyone else. I believe that we are all created with “specialties” of some sort or another. We only need to find out what those special things are and invest in them to best of our ability – every day. This is where true work success lies.

I StandOut as an Influencer/Teacher, AKA –  THE BENEVOLENT CHALLENGER.

I am not challenging people’s beliefs; rather I am challenging them to express the best in themselves. I call out to their potential, refusing to let them squander their talent. I am brimming with ideas about how to make the process of discovery compelling, invigorating, essential even. While I inspire, I am also often inspired. Excited by newfound ideas, I’ll tell anyone who’ll listen. I can often be heard exclaiming, “Isn’t this the coolest concept you’ve ever heard?!” or “Isn’t that the most brilliant idea?!” I never quite understand why more people are not as thrilled as I am… ©
